Narcotics Investigation – On Mach 28, 2012, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation into the selling of cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at the Old Town Inn located at 9403 Main Street, specifically room #40, in Manassas City (20112). As a result of the search and the investigation, marijuana, oxycodone, other drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were seized. The following arrests were also made without incident. This incident was previously held for investigative purposes. Arrested: Jamaul Bernard HEWITT, 30, of 9403 Main St #40 in Manassas City. Charged with possession of a schedule I or II narcotic [cocaine] Court date set for July 27, 2012, held WITHOUT bond at the time of the arrest. William Bruce AUSTIN, 27 – no fixed address. Charged with possession of a schedule I or II narcotic [oxycodone] and distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic [cocaine]. Court date set for June 29, 2012, held WITHOUT bond at the time of the arrest.

Abduction / Brandishing – On May 7, 2012 at 9:30 a.m., police began an investigation into a domestic incident which was reported to have occurred in the 9900 block of Loudoun Ave in Manassas (20109) in 2011. The victim, a 16-year-old female of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, a known family member, had assaulted her sometime between June and August of 2011. The investigation further revealed that the accused allegedly restrained the victim and threw her to the ground. Once on the ground, the accused displayed a handgun and threatened the victim. The victim disclosed this incident to a School Resource Officer on May 7th and following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested later that day. Arrested: Daniel Onanwa STRICKLAND, 22, of the 9900 block of Loudoun Ave in Manassas. Charged with abduction, brandishing and domestic assault & battery. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond,

INCIDENTS

Armed Robbery – On May 9, 2012 3:25 p.m., police responded to the Dale City Recreation Center located at 14300 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. The victim, a 15-year-old male of Woodbridge, reported to police that he made arrangements through social media to purchase shoes from an unknown man. The victim agreed to meet the man in the area above in order to purchase the shoes. The man arrived in a vehicle and while the victim was speaking to the man, three other unknown males emerged from a vehicle. One of the men displayed a handgun and ordered the victim to the ground. The men took the victim’s cell phone and undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before getting back in to the vehicle and fleeing. No injuries were reported.

Lookout: 4 black males – 1st male was between 25 & 30 years of age, 6’02” / 200lbs, heavy build with short black afro style hair and brown eyes. Last seen wearing a gray tank top, tan camo shorts and black shoes. 2nd was between 25 & 30 years of age, medium build with short black afro style hair. No known clothing description. 3rd male was between 25 & 30 years of age, 5’10” / 180lbs, medium build with short black afro style hair and brown eyes [male with handgun]. Last seen wearing a black shirt and ‘wind breaker’ style pants. 4th male, unknown age or descriptors. No known clothing description. Vehicle Lookout: Unknown make or model, silver, 4 door vehicle with Maryland license plates, tinted windows and missing hubcaps.

Armed Robbery – On May 9, 2012 at 1:54 p.m., police responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred at the 7-11 located at 14820 Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) on May 8 at 4:17 a.m. An employee reported to police that at that time, an unknown man entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, unknown age, 5’05” / 120lbs, thin build. Last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and dark shoes.

Burglary – On May 8, 2012 at 10:51 p.m., police responded to the 10800 block of Daisy Ct in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:45 a.m. and 10:15 p.m.. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear door which had been forced opened. A laptop, thee gaming consoles and related games, valued around $1,600, were reported missing.
