INCIDENTS
Strong Armed Robbery – On April Friday, 27, 2012 at 7:16 p.m. police responded to the 5800 block of Mapledale Plz in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 16-year-old male of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when the was approached by three unknown men. The men assaulted the victim and took his cell phone before fleeing the area. The victim sustained minor injuries. Investigation continues.
Lookout: 3 black males, unknown ages. First male was around 6’0” / 150lbs, thin build with black, shoulder length deadlocks and a goatee. Last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and gray & blue shoes. Second male, unknown height & weight, thin build with black collar length dreadlocks. Last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. Third male, unknown height & weight, thin build with short black hair. Last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt.
Burglary – On Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1:02 p.m., police responded to the 6000 block of Piney Grove Way in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on April 25, 2012. Entry appeared to have been into an attached garage through an open door. Entry was then made into the main residence through an unsecured door. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
Burglary – On Friday, April 27, 2012 at 7:56 p.m., police responded to the 15100 bloc of Georgia Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5 and 7 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence, however, several interior doors had been forced open. Two gaming consoles with related games and two laptops, valued around $2,300, were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary – On Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 3:05 a.m. police responded to the 2900 block of Fox Lair Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 2:40 and 3 a.m., an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a rear window. It appears the suspect(s) attempted to remove the screen on the window. No entry was gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary – On Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 1:25 p.m., police responded to the 3300 block of Esquarre Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 8:30 a.m. on April 25, 2012 and 10 a.m. on April 26, 2012, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear sliding glass door. No entry was gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
ARRESTS
Carjacking – On April 30, 2012 at 2:45 a.m. police responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and York Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a carjacking. The victim, a 29-year-old Woodbridge taxi driver, reported to police that he was stopped at a traffic light in the area above when his customer, the accused, began to assault him. The accused ordered the victim out of the taxi cab, got into the drivers seat and drove away. Police were able to use the cab’s GPS to track the vehicle in Fairfax County. Fairfax County Police located the vehicle and arrested the accused in the area of Ox Rd and Palmer Rd in Lorton. The accused remains in the custody of Fairfax County Police on charges related to this incident. Arrested: Margarito AVALAR ESCOBAR, 29, of 14737 Pan Am Ave in Chantilly, Charged with carjacking [PWCPD charge only]. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond
Burglary to a Business – On April 27, 2012 at 4 a.m. police responded to Airsoft CQB located at 10902 Carolina Dr in Manassas (20110) for a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:30 and 2:30 a.m.Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured overhead bay door. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing, as well as, thousand of dollars in damage. The investigation led to the identity and arrest of the below listed accused. Arrested: Derek Scott STEPHENS, 21 – no fixed address. Charged with burglary, destruction of property, arson and petit larceny. Court date set for June 22, 2012, held WITHOUT bond. Arrested: (Juvenile)-A 16-year-old male of Gainesville. Charged with burglary, destruction of property, arson and petit larceny. Court date set for May 16, 2012, held at a Juvenile Detention Facility.
