Reckless Handling of a Firearm - NEW DETAILS
The investigation into the missing adult from Gainesville reported this morning has since revealed that HICKMAN, now the accused, had fired several rounds in the residence after the argument with her husband. The accused then fled on foot and her current location is still unknown. No injuries were reported from the gun fire. Warrants have since been obtained against the accused. Wanted: Tamatha Chapman HICKMAN, 39, of the 7000 block of Rogue Forest Ln in Gainesville. Described as white female, 5’08” / 180lbs with green eyes and red hair. Wanted for reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling.

Missing Endangered Adult (Previously Released) - On April 23, 2012 at 5:18 a.m., police responded to the 7000 block of Rogue Forest Ln in Gainesville (20155) for a domestic. The investigation revealed that the missing adult, HICKMAN, was involved in a verbal altercation with her husband at the residence. Following the encounter, HICKMAN, left the residence on foot without her wallet or vehicle. It is believed that HICKMAN may be suicidal. Police are currently in the area attempting to locate her.

ARRESTS

Failure to Report Abuse – On April 20, 2012, police charged the accused, a teacher a Marumsco Elementary School, in connection to an incident which had been brought to her attention on Friday, March 30, 2012. On that date, two students independently approached the accused to report alleged sexual abuse following a presentation given at the school entitled “Hugs and Kisses”. The accused failed to report the alleged offenses to CPS or school authorities until April 12, 2012. Following an investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused who turned herself into police on April 20, 2012. The allegations brought forth by the students are not in reference to the same incident or suspect and are both currently being investigated by the Special Victims Unit with the police department. In Virginia, teachers, in their official capacity, are required to immediately report any suspected abuse or neglect to the proper authorities within 72 hours, according to Jonathan Perok, Prince William County Police spokesman. Arrested: Esther Geovanni CASTILLO, 46, of 7040 Lakota Dr #404 in Woodbridge. Charged with failure to report suspected abuse to authorities [civil offense]. Court date set for May 31, 2012, released on a summons.

Sexual Assault – On April 21, 2012 at 5:52 a.m. police responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 5600 block of Nibbs Ct in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 28-year-old woman of Arlington, was at the residence of the accused in the above area when he sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to leave the residence and contact police. Following the investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested. Arrested: Samuel Harry SCHICCATANO, 33, of 5600 Nibbs Ct in Woodbridge. Charged with object sexual penetration. Court date set for May 30, 2012, held WITHOUT bond.

Burglary with Intent to Defile / Peeping – On April 22, 2012 at 4:15 a.m., police responded to the 1200 block of E. Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 12-year-old girl of Woodbridge, was sleeping in the living room when she awoke to the sound of a strange noise. The victim turned towards a nearby open window and observed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, leaning into the residence. The victim immediately ran to her mother in a nearby room who contacted police. A police K-9 was used in the search which led officers to the residence of the accused. The investigation further revealed that the accused had attempted to enter the residence in order to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl who also resides in the residence. Following the investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested without incident. Arrested: Eduardo Antonio PEREIRA REYES, 19, of 1214 E. Longview Dr in Woodbridge. Charged with burglary with intent to rape and peeping. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.

Burglary / Attempted Burglary – On April 20th at 12:32PM, police responded to the 13500 block of Brinn Ct in Manassas (20112) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that an unknown man was attempting to enter the residence through a rear patio door. The homeowner confronted the man who fled on foot. No entry was made into the residence. A responding officer encountered a suspicious male in the area of Mary Jane Dr and Richie Ct. As the officer approached the man, he took off running leaving behind a bag of stolen property and tools. A police K-9 was used in the search which led officers to a residence in the 8200 block of Mary Jane Dr where a residence was discovered to have been burglarized. Entry appeared to have been made into that residence through a rear door which had been pried opened. Detectives were quickly able to identify a suspect, identified as the accused. The accused was located near Bradford Sq and was taken into custody without incident. All property reported missing was recovered. Arrested: Patrick Douglas O’QUINN, 26, of 13505 Richie Ct in Manassas. Charged with 2 counts of burglary and 1 count of grand larceny. Court date and bond information unavailable.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 22, 2012 at 3:34 p.m., police responded to the 3000 block of Frankfurt Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that he was inside his residence when he heard a loud bang and then noticed a hole in his wall. The investigation revealed that a neighbor, the accused, was attempting to clean his handgun when he accidently fired a round which traveled through his residence and into the caller’s residence across the street. No injuries were reported. Arrested: Teliferro MITCHELL, 40, of 3000 Frankfurt Ct in Woodbridge. Charged with reckless handling of a firearm. Court date set for June 05, 2012, released on a summons.

INCIDENTS

Burglary – On Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 7:21 p.m., police responded to the area of Mohican Dr and Old Bridge Rd for a single vehicle crash. Officers arrived and discovered the vehicle was unoccupied. As officers responded to the vehicle owner’s address in the 12700 block of Old Bridge Lane in Woodbridge (22192), it was discovered that the garage door was open and that a side door had been kicked in. A police K-9 was utilized in the search at the crash scene but was unable to locate a driver. The investigation revealed that an unknown person had entered the residence sometime between 5:50 and 7:21 p.m. while the residence was unoccupied. The suspect(s) then loaded the homeowner’s vehicle with jewelry, tools and other items before stealing the vehicle and crashing it in the area previously reported. Some of the property reported missing was recovered. Investigation continues.

Armed Robbery – On Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 9:53 a.m., police responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 14400 block of Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) on Friday, April 20, 2012 at around 11 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was waiting in his vehicle in a parking lot in the above area when he was approached by three unknown, masked men. All of the males were reported to be armed with handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The men took the victim’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing the area of foot. No injuries were reported. Lookout: 3 black males, between 16 & 20 years of age, medium build. All were last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Burglary – On Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 8:07 a.m., police responded to the 15000 block of Catalpa Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6 p.m. on April 18, 2012 and 4 p.m. on April 19, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an opened window. Tools, valued around $220, were reported missing.

Burglary – On Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Triad Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:30 p.m. on April 17, 2012 and 10 a.m. on April 21, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made into an attached garage through an opened door. Tools, valued around $2,000, were reported missing.

Burglary – On April 19, 2012 at 11:37 a.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Graham Park Rd in Dumfries (22026) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:45 and 11:45 a.m.. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door which had been forced opened. A TV, gaming console and clothing items, valued around $1,000, were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary – On April 20, 2012 at 12:43 p.m, police responded to the 2000 block of Mayflower Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence a rear sliding glass door which had been shattered. The glass was intact thereby preventing entry into the residence. No items were reported missing.
