**UPDATES**
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling | Shooting from a Moving Vehicle *ARREST – On April 1st, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located the remaining suspect involved in the shooting incident which was reported to have occurred in the 17900 block of Swans Creek Ln in Dumfries on March 21st. The task force arrested the suspect in Norfolk, VA. Detectives have since located and arrested Briana COLBERT and Paulina GOMEZ in connection to this investigation. Warrants have been obtained for Andre PERRY who should be considered armed and dangerous. Deante GAINES was previously located and arrested by the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force on March 23rd in Washington DC where he is awaiting extradition.

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling | Shooting from a Moving Vehicle^ – On March 21st at 2:06PM, officers responded to the 17900 block of Swans Creek Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call. Multiples callers reported to police that two vehicles were observed driving recklessly down Swans Creek Ln shooting towards one another. During the incident, multiple homes and a vehicle were struck. During the investigation, detectives identified the all parties involved in the incident. The investigation revealed that Deante GAINES was the passenger inside a gold Saab along with Paulina GOMEZ who was the driver. These two suspects were eating at a local restaurant near the Jefferson Davis Hwy and Wayside Dr when Andre PERRY and Briana COLBERT entered. All parties are known to one another and were previously involved in a prior incident in another jurisdiction. All suspects left the establishment and got into their respective vehicles. The investigation further revealed that Andre PERRY was the driver and shooter in the red Kia while Briana COLBERT was in the front passenger seat. Both vehicles traveled at a high rate of speed down Wayside Dr towards Swans Creek Ln where Andre PERRY and Deante GAINES began shooting towards one another’s vehicles. During the encounter, Deante GAINES was grazed in the upper body by one of the bullets. All suspects involved in this incident have been identified.
**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding – On April 1st at 12:24AM, officers responded to the 12700 block of Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he met with a known female acquaintance in the above area to discuss a recent dispute. During the encounter, a male friend of the acquaintance approached the victim from behind and assaulted him. After the assault, the parties separated. The victim sustained a significant face injury and was treated at an area hospital. The investigation continues.
Strong Armed Robbery – On March 31st at 5:39PM, officers responded to the 4200 block of Seeton Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 51 year old woman of Front Royal, reported to police that she was pumping gas at a local service station in the above area when she was approached by a known male acquaintance. During the encounter, the man assaulted the victim and took prescription medications from her purse before fleeing in a separate vehicle. Minor injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 31st at 8:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Royal Cr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 5:00PM and 6:00PM, entry was attempted into the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 31st at 12:34PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 10600 block of Blendia Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that sometime around 12:30PM, she heard her living room blinds moving. The window was opened intentionally but the resident. The apartment was checked and no one was found to be inside. No entry is believed to have been made into the apartment and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 30th at 4:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18300 block of Possum Point Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime around 5:50PM, entry was attempted into the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Burglary with Intent to Commit an Assault | Domestic Assault & Battery – On March 31st at 5:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of Transom Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 47 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to her residence and entered the home through a rear door by using a spare key. Once inside the residence, the accused assaulted the victim and another occupant of the home. During the encounter, the accused also broke several items inside the residence. When officers arrived at the home, they attempted to arrest the accused. During her arrest, the accused actively resisted. The accused was eventually detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with 1 count of burglary, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, 1 count of destruction of property, 1 count of disorderly conduct and 1 count of resisting arrest

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 31st at 6:35PM, officers responded to the area of River Forest Dr and Emerywood Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2002 Buick was traveling at a high rate of speed in the above area when the driver lost control and struck a tree. When officers arrived, they determined that the driver, identified as the accused, was under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested. A search of the accused also revealed that he was in possession of a smoking device containing suspected marijuana. While at the Adult Detention Center, the accused kicked the officer in the arm. No injuries were reported.
