ARRESTS

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer – On March 8, 2012 at 10:10 p.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Graham Park Rd in Triangle (22172) for a suspicious person. As officers attempted to make contact with the accused, he fled on a bicycle. As one of the officers caught up to the accused, the accused threw the bicycle at the officer, hitting him in the shin. The accused then continued to flee in foot. After a short foot pursuit the accused was taken into custody without further incident. The officer sustained minor injuries. Arrested was Raymond Lee DAVIS, 43 – no fixed address. Davis was charged with assault & battery on LEO, obstruction of justice, providing false ID to police and being intoxicated in public. Court date set for April 20, 2012, held WITHOUT bond.

INCIDENTS

Armed Robbery – On March 8, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., police responded to the Ali Grocery located at 14808 Build America Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing on foot. A perimeter was established and a police K-9 were utilized to search for the suspect but he was not located. No injuries were reported. Police posted a lookout for: Black male, between 18 & 22 years of age, 5’08” / medium build with a black beard. He was last seen wearing a black baseball style hat, black jacket and black pants

Burglary – On March 8, 2012 at 12:50 p.m., police responded to the 1400 block of Cottonwood Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear sliding glass door which had been broken out. Two safes and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary – On March 7, 2012 at 7:58 p.m., police responded to the 7600 block of Somerset Ln in Manassas (20111) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 2 and 7:58 p.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear window which was cracked. No entry was made and no items were reported missing.
