ARRESTS

Possession of Child Pornography – On Feb. 7, 2012, detectives from the Northern Virginia / Washington DC Internet Crimes against Children Task Force concluded an investigation into the possession of child pornography with the arrest of the below listed accused. In August 2011, the task force was alerted to the accused being in possession of child pornography. As the investigation progressed, a search warrant was executed on Aug. 25, 2011 at the residence of the accused, 4120 Burning Ridge Ct in Woodbridge (22192). As a result, digital evidence was recovered and sent for forensic review. As a result of the extensive investigation, the accused was arrested and charged on Feb. 7, 2012. This arrest had been previously held for investigative purposes. Arrested was Matthew Scott ROCCO, 25, of 4120 Burning Ridge Ct in Woodbridge. ROCCO was charged with 5 counts of possession of child pornography. Court date set for March 30, 2012, bond information unavailable.

Narcotics Investigation – On Jan. 4, 2012, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at 9427 Taney Road in Manassas City (20110). As a result of the search, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and evidence supporting distribution were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident. This arrest had been previously held for investigative purposes. Arrested: Connie Latasha BARNES, 28, of 9427 Taney Road in Manassas City. BARNES was charged with distributing a schedule I or II narcotic [cocaine]. Court date set for April 20, 2012, bond information unavailable.
