Sexual Assault Investigation – On March 4th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at residence located in the 10100 block of Lomond Dr in Manassas (20109) beginning in 2010. The investigation revealed that the victim, who is now a 9 years old girl, was sexually assaulted by three different men since 2010 while they each resided at the victim’s home. The incidents began when the victim was 5 years old. The victim recently disclosed the encounters to family members who notified the Department of Social Services and police. The three men were not known to one another and stayed at the residence at different times. Over the course of the investigation, all three men were identified, located and arrested in connection to the case.

Sexual Assault Investigation – On March 26th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 4400 block of Boxwood Dr in Dumfries (22025) beginning in 2007. The investigation revealed that the victims, who are now a 14 year old female juvenile and an 11 year old girl, were sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on at least one occasion since 2007. The encounters were recently disclosed and police were contacted. At the time of the offenses, the accused was between 13 and 14 years of age. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on March 27th.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On March 29th at 3:01AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3700 block of Masthead Trl in Triangle (22172) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 30 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim before grabbing her by the neck and pushing her against a wall. As a result of the altercation, both parties fell to the ground. Other residents of the home eventually separated the parties and contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Armed Robbery – On March 29th at 1:55PM, officers responded to the area of Emberdale Dr and Elliot Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 28 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was approached by two unknown women who asked for a ride to the above area. Once there, an unknown man approached the victim at his vehicle and began to assault him. During the assault, the male suspect placed an object to the victim’s back, which was believed to be a knife, and demanded money. A struggle ensued before the suspects took the victim’s money and cell phone and fled the area. Minor injuries were reported. While searching the area, officers located a wallet belonging to the male suspect, later identified as Keavon COLEMAN. Officers responded to the address on the license located on Ensbrook Dr and found all three suspects. One of the female suspects was identified as a 17 year old female juvenile of Woodbridge. The investigation further revealed that the suspects had planned to rob the victim. Detectives also learned that during the robbery, both adult suspects left their 4 month old girl at home unattended. The child was unharmed. Following the investigation, all three suspects were arrested.

Strong Armed Robbery – On March 29th at 5:49PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Soapstone Dr in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 15 year old male and three 14 year old male juveniles – all of Gainesville, were walking in the area above when they were approached by four other male juvenile suspects. During the encounter, the juvenile suspects threatened the victims and ordered them to empty their pockets. The suspects took cell phones, money and other property from the victims before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspects were observed by a county Park Ranger and officers were able to detain three of the suspects without incident. Following the investigation, charges were placed against those three suspects. The investigation continues as detectives work to identify and charge the remaining suspect.
