ARRESTS
Rape – On March 12, 2012 at 5:17 a.m., police responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 10800 block of Buttercup Pl in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 15-year-old female of Herndon, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, while at his residence in Manassas. A search warrant was executed at the residence of the accused where evidence of the rape was recovered. Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested. Arrested: Lasanna BAMBA, 22, of 10831 Buttercup Pl #202 in Manassas. Charged with rape. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.
INCIDENTS
Armed Robbery – On March 12, 2012 at 8:49 a.m. police responded to ACE Check Cashed located at 4337 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. Employee reported to police that she had just opened the business for the day when an unknown man entered the lobby, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect tied the victim’s hands together and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area. A perimeter was established and a police K-9 was utilized in an attempt to locate the man. No one was located and no injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, between 28 & 30 years of age, 5’08” / 160lbs, medium build, with black hair and green eyes. Last seen wearing dark pants, black shoes, blue jacket, black mask and gloves.
Burglary to a Business – On March 13, 2012 at 3:07 a.m., police responded to the Linden Park Apartments rental office located at 3600 Jurgensen Dr in Triangle (22172) for an alarm. Police arrived and discovered a side window which had been broken out. Entry is believed to have been made, however no items were reported missing. A perimeter was established and a police K-9 was utilized in an attempt to locate a potential suspect. No one was located.
Attempted Burglary – On March 12 at 11:04 p.m., police responded to the 15700 block of Tassia Ln in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she was in her bedroom when she heard the sound of glass breaking. The homeowner fled the residence and contacted police. No entry is believed to have been gained into the residence and no items were reported missing. The homeowner never saw the potential intruder and was unable to provide police with a description.
Attempted Burglary – On March 12, 2012 at 4:48 p.m., police responded to the 16600 block of Geddy Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 2 and 4:45 p.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through the front door which was damaged. No entry is believed to have been gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary – On March 9, 2012 at 9:30 p.m., police responded to the 9400 block of Patterson Ln in Manassas (20112) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 8 a.m. on March 8, 2012 and 5:30 p.m. on March 9, 2012, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence by prying open the front door and through a window. No entry is believed to have been gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
