**ARRESTS**

Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 5th at 10:30PM, police responded to the 7300 block of Wichita Ct in Manassas (20109) for an assault. During the investigation, officers arrested the accused for assaulting the victims, a 61 year old woman and a 56 year old man – both of Woodbridge, following an altercation which escalated. Minor injuries were reported. While being escorted to the police cruiser, the accused attempted to kick an officer, grazing her leg. After being transported to the Adult Detention Center, the accused spat at another officer who was there on an unrelated matter. Following the investigation, the accused was subsequently charged.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on LEO and 2 counts of assault & battery

Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] / Firefighter – On February 5th at 1:23PM, police responded to the 10500 block of Crest Dr in Manassas (20109) to assist Fire and Rescue with a combative patient. As rescue personnel were making contact with the accused, she grabbed her 6 year old daughter by the neck and face. One of the medics attempted to intervene and was assaulted by the accused. Officers arrived and subsequently arrested the accused. As officers were attempting to place the accused in a cruiser, she actively resisted causing one of the officers to sustain minor injuries to his hand. Only minor injuries were reported by the parties involved.

Ayanna Aquida Alain EMILLE, 27, of 7662 Cass Pl #103 in Manassas
Charged with assault & battery on LEO, assault & battery on firefighter, domestic assault & battery and resisting arrest
Court date set for March 11, 2013, held WITHOUT bond

Residential Burglary – On February 5th at 3:22PM, police responded to the 10500 block of Coral Berry Dr in Manassas (20110) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM and 2:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. A TV, 2 laptops, 2 gaming consoles, an iPad, and a handgun, valued around $3,600, were reported missing. During the investigation, officers determined that the intruder may have been a known acquaintance of someone who resides at the house. As a result, officers identified the accused, MARTINEZ, as one of the suspects involved. Property which had been reported missing was recovered at the residence of MARTINEZ. Officers were further able to identify a second suspect, HERNANDEZ-CRUZ. Following the investigation, the investigation, both men were arrested.

Charged with burglary and grand larceny
Court date set for March 8, 2013, held on a $10,000 secured bond

Santos Danilo HERNANDEZ-CRUZ, 18, of 8607 Burnside Ct in Manassas
Charged with burglary and grand larceny

Narcotics Investigation – On January 29th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit conducted a narcotics investigation into selling of heroin with the execution of a search warrant at 2200 Youngs Dr in Haymarket (20169). As a result of the search, heroin, packaging material, a rifle and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were seized. The following arrest was also made without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative reasons. 
Arrested on January 29th:
John Thomas PRINCE IV, 23, of 2200 Youngs Dr in Haymarket
Charged with 2 counts of possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic [heroin] and possession of a firearm with narcotics
Court date set for March 15, 2013, held WITHOUT bond at the time of the arrest
