ARRESTS
Embezzlement of County Property – On Jan. 18, 2012 police began an investigation into the embezzlement of county property which was discovered to have occurred between 2001 and 2004. The investigation revealed that the accused was employed with a contractor company which had been hired by Prince William County. The accused, while employed and working in Prince William during the time frame listed above, had allegedly stolen 20 laptops, valued around $2,000. After an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested and charged on Feb. 3, 2012. Arrested: James David EINHORN, 43, of 11505 Tuck Tr in Fredericksburg. Charged with embezzlement. Court date set for April 4, 2012. Released on personal recognizance.
Strong Armed Robbery – On Feb. 3, 2012 at 1 p.m., police responded to the Giant Grocery Store located at 12445 Hedges Run Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that a unknown juvenile male, later identified as the accused, had entered the store and walked over to one of the cashiers. Once there, he handed the cashier a $20 bill and asked for change. When the cashier handed the accused the change, the male, in turn, grabbed the original bill and fled the store. The cashier attempted to stop the accused and was pushed. Police located the accused in the area where he was arrested without incident. Arrested: (Juvenile), a 16-year-old male of Woodbridge. Charged with robbery. Court date and bond information unavailable.
INCIDENTS
Armed Robbery On Feb. 4, 2012 at 5:45 p.m., police responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 14400 block of Brook Dr in Woodbridge (22193) around 5 a.m. that morning. The victim, a 51-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. The man displayed an unknown weapon and demanded the victim’s money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before assaulting him. Minor injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, unknown age, around 5’10” – no further description. Last scene wearing a black jacket with a hood.
Armed Robbery – On Feb. 4, 2012 at 4:22 a.m., police responded to the 7-11 located at 14797 Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. Clerk reported to police that three unknown men entered the store where one of the men displayed a handgun and demanded money. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and damaged an interior cooler before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported. Lookout: 3 black males, all reported to be 18-22 years of age—First male was around 5’10” [suspect with the handgun; last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white t-shirt, blue jeans and a ski style mask. Second male was around 5’10” - last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a ski style mask; third male was around 6’02”-last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a ski style mask.
Armed Robbery – On Feb. 3. 2012, police responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 14700 block of Barksdale St in Woodbridge (22193). The victims, two 15-year-old males and a 42-year-old man – all of Woodbridge, reported to police that they had met an unknown male on Facebook in an attempt to sell used shoes, valued around $300.
The victims arranged to meet the unknown man in front of a residence in the area above to conduct the transaction. Once there, the victim’s were surrounded by a group of unknown men, one of which displayed a handgun and demanded the victims’ property. The group took the 3 pairs of shoes and undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victims before fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. The victims were only able to provide police with a description of the suspect with the handgun. Lookout: Black male, between 16 & 18 years of age, thin build, no clothing description available.
Brandishing / Assault & Battery – On Feb.2, 2012 at 7:42 p.m. police responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 1700 block of Carter Ln in Woodbridge (22191) on Jan. 28, 2012.. The victim, a 21-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that on Jan. 28 around 7 p.m. the accused, a known acquaintance, was at her residence in the above area when a verbal altercation ensued. During the encounter, the accused allegedly assaulted the victim and brandished a handgun. Minor injuries were reported. Wanted: Maurice Jermaine WALLER, 43, of 14633 Fox Glove Ct in Woodbridge. Described as a black male, 5’09” / 165lbs, bald / brown eyes with a mustache. Wanted for brandishing and assault & battery.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Feb. 5, 2012 at 4:40 p.m., police responded to investigate a destruction of property which was reported to have occurred in the 12700 block of Dara Dr in Woodbridge (22192). The homeowner reported to police that between 8 p.m. on Jan. 27 and 10 p.m. on Jan. 31, an unknown person(s) shot at her residence building. Upon further investigation, officers discovered bullet holes in the leasing office. No injuries were reported and no projectiles were located.
Burglary to a Business – On Feb. 5, 2012 at 8:59 p.m., police responded to the Tobacco Market located at 1948 Daniel Stuart Sq in Woodbridge (22191) for an alarm. Police arrived and discovered the glass on the front door had been broken out. No one was located inside the business. A large quantity of cigarettes, valued around $7,000, was reported missing.
Burglary – On Feb. 5, 2012 at 8:11 a.m. police responded to the 3400 block of Allerton Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10 p.m. on Feb.4, 2012 and 7:20 a.m. on Feb. 5, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A laptop, jewelry, a gaming console, related games and other electronics, valued around $3,000, were reported missing.
Burglary – On Feb. 4, 2012 at 12:24 p.m. police responded to the 16600 block of Galt Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2012 and 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 4, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made though an unsecured rear door. No items were reported missing, however, damage to the interior drywall, valued around $500, was noted.
Burglary – On Feb. 3, 2012 at 8:17 p.m., police responded to the 13900 block of Rope Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:35 a.m. and 1 p.m.. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made though an unsecured rear window. Several pairs of shoes, a gaming console and an iPod, valued around $900, were reported missing.
Burglary – On Feb. 3, 2012 at 8:35 a.m., police responded to the 13800 block of Crabtree Way in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2012 and 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 3, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured front window. No items were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary – On Feb. 3 at 2:50 p.m., police responded to the 4300 block of Periwinkle Ln in Woodbridge (22192) for an alarm. Police arrived and discovered a rear window was broken out. No entry appeared to have been made due to the audible alarm and no items were reported missing.
