ARRESTS
Burglary – On Feb. 27, 2012 at 1:45 p.m., police responded to the 3300 block of Ladino Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary in progress. Police arrived and discovered a ladder against the residence and an open second floor window. Officers set up a perimeter around the residence once an unknown man, later identified as the accused – BRAXTON, and several firearms were discovered to be inside. A negotiator, tactical units and a police K-9 were called to assist in the incident. Contact was made inside the residence for the accused to come out. Eventually, the accused surrendered to police without incident. A check of the residence resulted in three firearms missing.
Further investigation revealed that a second suspect, GILLIAM, had been in the residence but had fled out of a rear door prior to police surrounding the residence. At 3:39 p.m., detectives attempted to locate GILLIAM at his residence on Birchdale Dr. A vehicle stop was conducted on a suspect vehicle in the area of Birchdale Dr and Dale Blvd. GILLIAM, again, fled on foot. Police K-9 and tactical units were utilized in an attempt to locate GILLIAM but were unsuccessful. Warrants remain on file for GILLIAM.
After a subsequent investigation, police linked BRAXTON to a burglary involving stolen firearms from Warbler Ct in Woodbridge on Feb. 7, 2012. Arrested: Brandon Delonte BRAXTON, 18, of 5542 Victory Lp in Manassas. Charged with 2 counts of burglary and 2 counts of grand larceny of a firearm. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.
Wanted: Daniel James GILLIAM, 18, of 14718 Birchdale Drive in Woodbridge. Described as a black male, 5’07” / 150lbs, brown eyes / black afro style hair. Wanted for burglary and grand larceny of a firearm.
Burglary (Previously Released) – On Feb. 7, 2012 at 4:55 p.m., police responded to the 15200 block of Warbler Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she had arrived home and discovered two unknown men on her back deck. As she confronted the men, they fled on foot. The residence was checked and entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been broken out. A rifle and a handgun, valued around $1,400, were reported missing.
INCIDENTS
Attempted Burglary – On Feb. 26 at 1:44 p.m., police responded to the 12100 block of Stallion Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2012, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence by prying open the front door. No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported missing.
