**UPDATES**
Residential Burglaries *ARREST – On February 26th at 9:10AM, police responded to the 8100 block of Pointer Ln in Manassas (20109) for a domestic between mother and son. Officers arrived and were informed by the mother that her son, the accused, was in possession of property that did not belong to him. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused had property which had been taken from two separate residences in the 8000 block of Ashland Ave between February 18th and February 19th (see incident briefs below). Following the investigation, the accused, a juvenile, was arrested.
Arrested on February 26th: (Juvenile)
A 13 year old male of Manassas
Charged with 2 counts of burglary and 2 counts of grand larceny

Residential Burglary (Previously Released) – On February 19th at 7:38PM, police responded to the 8000 block of Ashland Ave in Manassas (20109) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she just entered her residence when she observed an unknown man inside the home. Once discovered, the man fled out of a window. A police K-9 was utilized in the search. No one was located. A computer, phone, and other property, valued around $265, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary (Previously Released) – On February 18th at 9:30PM, police responded to the 8000 block of Ashland Ave in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM and 8:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. An iPad and other property, valued around $700, were reported missing.
*ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 26th at 4:40AM, police responded to the Inns of Virginia located at 951 Annapolis Way in Woodbridge (22191) for a disturbance call. Caller reported to police that there was screaming coming from a room within the motel for someone to call 9-1-1. Officers arrived and made contact with the room and its two occupants. While speaking to the occupants, narcotics were discovered inside the room. Following the investigation, both occupants were arrested. After being sat in a police cruiser, the accused, HESSING, head butted an officer to the chest. No injuries were reported. While in the backseat of another cruiser the accused, KILPATRICK, kicked the window in the back seat causing about $1,500 in damage to the window and door frame area. Further investigation revealed that KILPATRICK was the occupant who was screaming inside the room and that she did not need police.

Charged with assault & battery on LEO and possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic

Katelyn Leanne KILPATRICK, 20, of 12406 Strodes Mill Rd in Remington, VA
Charged with falsely summoning the police, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic, and destruction of property

Commercial Burglary – On February 25th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were informed about suspicious persons in the area of the Atlantic Research Corp. facility located at 5945 Wellington Rd in Gainesville (20155). Detectives arrived in the area and stopped a vehicle occupied by two men, later identified as the men below. The investigation revealed that the men had removed a large about of copper piping from the facility and placed it in an area where they were about to pick it up. Following the investigation, both men were charged.

Christopher James MACMILLIAN, 41, of 8011 Hillcrest Dr in Manassas
Matthew Lee MACMILLIAN, 29, of 8011 Hillcrest Dr in Manassas
Both men were charged with burglary, grand larceny with intent to sell, and destruction of property

**INCIDENTS**
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 26th at 12:01PM, police responded to the 4100 block of Glendale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 8:00AM and 11:45AM, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a rear sliding glass door which had been damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 26th at 7:56AM, police responded to the 3300 block of Labourn Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 6:55Am on February 25h and 7:56AM on February 26th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through the garage door which had been damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
