**ARRESTS**
Burglary While Armed – On February 20th at 10:39PM, police responded to the 7500 block of Margate Ct in Manassas (20109) for a burglary in progress.
Homeowner reported to police that a group of 7 or 8 masked suspects forcibly entered the residence and stole several items including several laptops, 2 gaming consoles, an iPad, and multiple pairs of shoes. One of the men was reportedly armed with a handgun.
Three of the men fled the residence and got into a vehicle while the remaining suspects fled on foot. A description of the vehicle was provided to responding officers. Officers located the vehicle traveling in the area of Dumfries Rd and Purcell Rd and conducted a traffic stop.
The three occupants were subsequently detained and arrested. Detectives from the Robbery Unit are still working to identify the other suspects involved. This incident does not appear to be random.

Charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and using a firearm in commission of a felony

Khardrion Tavarie GARDNER, 19, of 324 Potomac Ave, Apt B in Quantico
Charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and using a firearm in commission of a felony

A 16 year old male of Dumfries
Charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and using a firearm in commission of a felony

Threats to School Staff – On February 21st at 10 a.m., police responded to PACE-West located at 14490 John Marshall Hwy in Gainesville (20155) for a disorderly student. Staff members reported to police that a student made threats to the school and to harm staff members. School Resource Officers investigated the claim and discovered that the student became disorderly after arriving at the school that morning. The student was placed in a separate room with 2 staff members when the treats were made. No actions were taken on the part of the student, only verbal threats. Following the investigation, the student was removed from the school and charged.

Charged with 2 counts of threats on a school staff member

Stolen Firearms Investigation – On February 21st, detectives from Street Crimes Unit concluded an investigation into stolen firearms with the following arrests. On September 25 [2012], police responded to the 9000 block of Rugby Rd in Manassas (20111) for a burglary which resulted in a rifle being reported stolen (See release below). Detectives discovered that three suspects purchased the stolen firearm. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the three men. All three men were subsequently arrested without incident.

Charged with receiving a stolen firearm
Court date set for March 15, 2013, held on a $2,500 secured bond
Jerald Phillip JONES, 22, of 165 Martin Dr in Manassas
Charged with receiving a stolen firearm
Court date set for March 15, 2013, bond information unavailable
Michael Joseph CARRIGAN, 42, of 12674 Elk Run Rd in Midland
Charged with receiving a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Court date set for March 15, 2013, held on a $50,000 secured bond
Residential Burglary (previously Released) – On September 25th at 2:01PM, police responded to the 9000 block of Rugby Rd in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:30AM and 2:00PM. Entry appeared to have been made by removing an A/C window unit. A laptop, camera and a firearm, valued around $3,700, were reported missing.
