**UPDATES**

Multiple Arrests made following Joint Investigation – On February 11th, detectives with the Prince William County Police Violent Crimes and Special Investigations Bureaus, in conjunction with investigators from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, concluded multiple investigations with the following arrests. These men have been connected to multiple incidents in Prince William County.

K. WILLIAMS was charged in connection to the shooting and robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 18200 block of Graham Ct in Triangle on December 3rd [2012]. The investigation revealed that K. WILLIAMS was the male shooter in the incident.

C. WILLIAMS, B. GARRETT, A. HILLS, and J. BERRYMAN were charged in connection to the assault and robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 18000 block of Fraley Blvd in Dumfries (22026) on January 24th. The victim, a 21 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he, and 2 friends, were in the area above when they were approached by a group of unknown men, later identified as the men above. The men assaulted and robbed the victim before fleeing the area in a vehicle. No other injuries were reported. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

K. WILLIAMS, C. WILLIAMS, and L. BERRYMAN were charged in connection to the armed robbery which was reported to have occurred in the Super 8 Motel located at 17400 Jefferson Davis Highway in Dumfries (22026) on January 29th. The victim, a 21 year old of no fixed address, reported to police that he was assaulted and robbed by group of men, later identified as the men above. The men fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Jalil Darryl BERRYMAN, 23, of no fixed address
Charged with [in connection to the Fraley Blvd incident]: malicious wounding, robbery, and assault & battery

Arrested on February 8th:       
Brett Thomas GARRETT, 20, of 3638 Anchorage Cove in Triangle
Charged with [in connection to the Fraley Blvd incident]: malicious wounding, robbery, and assault & battery

Latwan Marte BERRYMAN, 23, of no fixed address
Charged with [in connection to the Super 8 incident]: 2 counts of robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and malicious wounding

Carvell Jarmain WILLIAMS, 27, of 3662 Masthead Tl in Dumfries
Charged with [in connection to the Fraley Blvd incident]: malicious wounding, robbery, and assault & battery
Charged with [in connection to the Super 8 incident]: 2 counts of robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and malicious wounding

Arrested on February 11th:
Armondo Eric HILLS, 21, of 3593 Olde Point Ln in Triangle
Charged with [in connection to the Fraley Blvd incident]: malicious wounding, robbery, and assault & battery

Court date unavailable, all were held WITHOUT bond

Shooting | Armed Robbery (Previously Released) – On December 3rd at 4:57PM, police responded to the 18200 block of Graham Ct in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 23 year old woman of Triangle and a 42 year old man Fredericksburg, drove to the area above with a known female acquaintance, a 47 year old woman of Triangle. The female acquaintance was the driver of the vehicle and had picked up the two victims in the area of the Dumfries Shopping Plz and drove them to Graham Ct to meet up with an unknown man. Once there, the man approached the vehicle, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the male victim. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the male victim before assaulting him with the firearm. The male victim was seated in the backseat of the vehicle, directly behind the female victim who was seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. During the assault, the handgun discharged, striking the female victim in the upper body. Following the shooting, the female acquaintance drove the vehicle to the nearby Dumfries-Triangle Rescue Station located on Graham Park Rd were rescue personnel aided the victims. The female victim was flown to an area hospital and the male victim was ground transported, both sustained non-life threatening injuries. Through the investigation, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau learned that the female victim was actually involved in the encounter with the unknown man on Graham Ct. The female victim, now the accused, had arranged the meeting to take place near the cul-de-sac and had been inadvertently shot during the encounter. The male victim and the female acquaintance were not involved in the arrangement. Detectives are still working to identify the shooter in this incident which was not random. The investigation continues.

**ARRESTS**

Child Abuse – On February 12th at 5:30PM, detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit began an investigation into child abuse which was reported to have occurred in the 7900 block of Meadow Ct in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 2 year old boy, had been struck multiple times by the accused, a known family member, with a belt between November of 2012 and February 2013. The victim sustained lacerations as a result. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Carlos Daniel CORTEZ, 29, of the 7900 block of Meadow Ct in Manassas
Charged with child abuse and cruelty & injuries to children
Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond


**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On February 13th at 1:15AM, police responded to the 7-11 located at 17360 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22026) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that 3 unknown men entered the store and approached the counter. One of the men displayed a handgun and ordered the employees to the floor. Another suspect took several cartons of cigarettes, valued around $6,000, before the men fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search. No suspects were located.

All 3 men were reported to be black males, between 18 & 25 years of age—
1st male [armed suspect] was 5’8”, 160lbs, thin build with black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a gray shirt over his face, black hooded sweatshirt, olive green pants, blue beanie cap, white gloves, and white shoes

2nd male was 6’0”, 170lbs, thin build with black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, and black pants

3rd male was 5’9”, 165lbs, thin build with black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing an olive green hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white gloves

Strong Armed Robbery – On February 12th at 8:58PM, police responded to the 1200 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, a 28 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he had just parked and exited his vehicle in the above area when he was approached from behind by an unknown man. The man assaulted the victim. During the attack, the victim dropped his keys before he was able to get away from the suspect. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search. The suspect was not located.

Last seen wearing all dark, possibly black, clothing

Residential Burglary – On February 12th at 5:11PM, police responded to the 1900 block of Knoll Top Ln in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30AM and 1:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured rear window. A laptop, valued around $500, was reported missing.
