**ARRESTS**
Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Reckless Handling of a Firearm
On January 28th at 8:02PM, police responded to the 16000 block of Radburn St in Woodbridge (22191) for a domestic related shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 30 year old man of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a family member, which escalated.
During the encounter the victim assaulted the accused causing an injury to his eye. Following the assault, the accused retrieved a handgun and shot the victim multiple times. The victim was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The accused left the residence prior to police arrival but was located by officers on Indus Dr where he was arrested after receiving medical treatment for his injury.

Charged with aggravated malicious wounding, reckless handling of a firearm and using a firearm in commission of a felony

Child Abuse and Neglect
On January 28th, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau and Child Protective Services responded to investigate a child abuse and neglect case which was reported to have occurred in the 14200 block of Ferndale Rd in Woodbridge (22193).
Detectives learned that the victim, a 15 year old male of Woodbridge, was having trouble walking and fell while in school. The investigation revealed that the accused, a family member, gave the victim non-prescribed medication over the course of 2 days prior to the incident. A search warrant was executed at the residence where evidence was recovered. Following the investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested. The victim and 2 other children were placed in foster care.

Charged with 2 counts of child abuse & neglect and 2 counts of distributing of a schedule III or IV narcotic to a minor

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO]
On January 26th at 10:11PM, officers were on foot patrol in the parking lot of 90 Degrees located at 8509 Rixlew Ln in Manassas (20109) when they encountered the accused in a vehicle in the parking lot. As officers were speaking to the accused, they detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Drugs, including marijuana and cocaine, could be seen in the vehicle and the accused was subsequently arrested. During the arrest, the accused actively resisted; knocking himself and two officers to the ground. One of the officers sustained minor lacerations to his hand. No other injuries were reported. The accused was eventually arrested and secured without further incident.

Charged with assault & battery on LEO, resisting arrest, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic [cocaine]

Aiding Prostitution
On January 28th at 3:43PM, police responded to the 17500 block of Barron Heights Rd in Dumfries (22025) for a suspicious vehicle. Officers located a vehicle and determined the parties involved were engaged in prostitution. A search warrant was executed on the vehicle where evidence was obtained. Following the investigation, the accused men listed below were arrested.

Tai Huu TIEN, 56, of 11906 Valley Wood Dr in Silver Spring, MD

Court date set for March 15, 2013, held on a $2,000 secured bond
**INCIDENTS**
Strong Armed Robbery – On January 28th at 1:12PM, police responded to the 5000 block of Archstone Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was at her vehicle, which was parked in her driveway, when she was approached by an unknown, masked man who demanded the victim’s purse. The man took the purse before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.

Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, sneakers and a black mask
Residential Burglary – On January 28th at 9:31PM, police responded to the 13100 block of Rock Ridge Ln in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:30PM and 2:30PM on January 27th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A gaming console, valued around $300, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On January 28th at 4:59PM, police responded to the 3200 block of Bethel Church Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM and 12:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. Jewelry, 2 gaming consoles, a laptop and other property, valued around $3,000, were reported missing.
