**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary | Discharge of a Firearm in Public – On January 22nd at 12:17AM, police responded to the 9800 block of Shallow Creek Lp in Bristow (20136) for a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that 3 unknown, masked men forced their way into his residence. Once inside the residence, the men went to a rear bedroom where they confronted and began assaulting the victim, another occupant of the home. The men eventually left the residence. The victim followed and, at one point, displayed a handgun and began firing towards the intruders. In the process, 3 unoccupied, parked vehicles were struck. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. No property was taken. This incident does not appear to be random. No description was provided for the suspects. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the victim, now the accused. Investigation continues.

Described as a white male, 5’6”, 145lbs, with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and willful discharge of a firearm in a public place
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 18th at 8:25AM, police responded to the 1200 block of Corbett Pl in Woodbridge (22193) for a destruction of property. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a known acquaintance, over the telephone the night prior on January 17th. Shortly after midnight, the victim heard a loud noise coming from outside her residence. The victim checked on the noise and discovered a tire on her vehicle had been deflated. Officers arrived and determined that someone had fire a round into the tire causing it to deflate. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was determined to have been responsible and warrants were obtained. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Wanted for reckless handling of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and destruction of property
**ARRESTS**
Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 20th at 1:02AM, police responded to the 14900 block of Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) for a domestic. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim multiple times and, at one point, began to choke her. The accused also reportedly broke the victim’s cell phone during the altercation. The victim was able to get away and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. The accused fled prior to police arrival but turned himself into police the following day.

Matthew Walker STEVENSON, 26, of the 14900 block of Dumfries Rd in Manassas
Charged with strangulation, domestic assault & battery and destruction of property
Court date unavailable, released on a $5,000 unsecured bond
