Filing a False Police Report *ARREST - On Jan. 18, 2012, police made an arrest into the case initially reported as a robbery which the victim told police occurred in the 13600 block of Foulgers Sq in Woodbridge on Jan. 11, 2012. After an investigation, police learned that the victim, now the accused, had lied about the incident in its entirety and that he was never robbed or assaulted. The accused was arrested without incident and charged. Arrested: Thomas Jerome THURMAN, 34, of 1413 Bayside Ave #101 in Woodbridge. Charged with filing a false police report. Court date and bond information unavailable.

[Strong Armed Robbery (Previously Reported) - On Jan. 11, 2012 at 9 p.m. police responded to the 13600 block of Foulgers Sq in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. The victim, a 33-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was in the parking lot in the above when he was approached by two unknown men. The men assaulted the victim and took his wallet, which contained an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, before fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported.]

INCIDENTS

Armed Robbery - On Jan. 18 at 1:42 p.m., police responded to the 1500 block of Maurice Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, a 53-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he had just gotten out of his vehicle when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men displayed an electronic stun type weapon while the other displayed a bat. Both men demanded money from the victim. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, a GPS and prescription medication from the victim before fleeing in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Hispanic male, between 16 & 25 years of age, 5’11” / 160lbs, thin build, with black hair and a mustache. Last seen wearing a black jacket, no further description [subject with the electric stun weapon] and white male, between 16 & 25 years of age, 5’08” / 120lbs, thin build. Last seen wearing a blue jersey, no further description [subject with the bat].

Attempted Armed Robbery - On Jan. 18, 2012 at 10:19PM, police responded to the 1700 block of Tilletson Pl in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, an 87-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was taking out the trash in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man who displayed a handgun and demanded money. At the time, the victim was holding an iron golf club which the suspect saw and fled on foot. No property or money were reported missing. No injuries were reported. Lookout: Black male, unknown age, 6’0” / 160lbs, thin build with black hair and brown eyes. Last seen wearing all black with a black stocking cap and a black jacket with fur around the hood.

Burglary - On Jan. 18 at 1:44 p.m. police responded to the 7800 block of West Point Ct in Manassas (20109) for a burglary under construction. Property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 13, 2012 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear basement door.

Burglary - On Jan. 17 at 12:03 a.m. police responded to the 7000 block of Yates Ford Rd in Manassas (20111) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between midnight on Nov. 24, 2011 and midnight on Jan. 17, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Jewelry and tools, valued around $400, were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary - On Jan. 18, 2012 at 12:31 p.m., police responded to the 4400 block of Hamilton Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that sometime between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear window which had been broken out. No entry is believed to have been made and no items were reported missing. 

ARRESTS

Rape - On Jan. 18, 2012 at 4:41 p.m. police responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 13200 block of Treetop Ct in Woodbridge (22191). The victim, a 12-year-old girl of Woodbridge, reported to police that sometime since November of 2011, she had been raped by the accused, a known acquaintance. After an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested and charged. Arrested: Juan Vicente MANCIA-SANDOVAL, 55, of the 13200 block of Treetop Ct in Woodbridge. Charged with rape. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.

Aggravated Sexual Battery  - On Jan. 17, 2012 at 8:01 p.m. police responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 9900 block of Portsmouth Rd in Manassas (20109). The victim, a 14-year-old girl of Manassas, reported to police that since September of 2011, she has been sexually assault on multiple occasions by the accused, a known acquaintance. After an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested and charged. Arrested: Michael Anthony RODRIGUEZ, 39, of the 9900 block of Portsmouth Rd in Manassas. Charged with 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery. Court date set for March 21, 2012, held WITHOUT bond.

Narcotics Investigation - On Jan. 18, 2012, police concluded a narcotics investigation into the distribution of heroin with the execution of a search warrant at 2846 Chablis Cir in Woodbridge (22192). As a result of the search heroin, packaging material and U.S. Currency were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident. Arrested: Junichi NAITO, 62, of 2846 Chablis Cir in Woodbridge. Charged with 2 count of possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic. Court date set for March 16, 2012, bond information unavailable.
