**ARRESTS**
Use of Communications Systems to Solicit a Minor – On January 9th, detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau began an investigation into the solicitation of a minor which was reported to have occurred in the 12700 block of Marblestone Dr in Woodbridge (22192) on December 27th [2012]. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 15 year old female of Woodbridge, was solicited by the accused, a family acquaintance, via a text message received on that date. No meeting took place between the accused and the victim. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

**INCIDENTS**
Sexual Battery – On January 11th at 5:20PM, police responded to the Potomac Library located at 2201 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) for an assault. The victim, a 14 year old female of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was standing outside of the library when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. The man began to talk to the victim while he was still behind her. At one point, the man sexually assaulted the victim. The victim received a phone call and the man left the area. The victim was not injured. At the time of the incident, the library was closed.
Lookout:
White male, between 18 & 22 years of age, 6’2”-6’5”, thin build with a messy beard, pale skin, thin mouth, pointy nose and a northern accent, possibly from New Jersey
Last seen wearing a gray or white jacket with a turtleneck underneath, baggy jeans, white shoes, gray knit hat and a small rectangle glasses

Strong Armed Robberies – On January 11th at 10:33AM police responded to Super Cash Checking located at 10280 Festival Ln in Manassas (20109) for an attempted robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the business and attempted to kick open an interior office door. The man did not gain entry and fled the scene. No weapon was used or implied in this incident. No injuries were reported and no property or money was taken. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspect, who was not located. The same day, at 12:21PM, police responded to the Shell Convenience Store located at 7025 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the business and approached the counter to make a purchase. Once the employee opened the register to give the man his change, the man reached over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area on foot. No weapon was used or implied in this incident and no injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspect, who was not located. The suspect in both incidents is believed to be the same man, see surveillance footage. There is also believed to be a second unknown suspect, no description, who acts as a driver following the incidents.
Lookout: Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’0”, thin build with a tattoo on his chest. Last seen wearing a gray sweater or black long-sleeve shirt, gray sweat pants, black shoes and black baseball cap. Vehicle Lookout: Small, silver 4 door SUV, possibly a Toyota RAV4

Strong Armed Robbery – On January 13th at 3:41AM, police responded to the area of Kentucky Ave and Florida Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, a 16 year old male of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by a group of unknown men. The men assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground, before taking his jacket, iPod and undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The men then fled the area of foot. The victim sustained minor injuries. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspects, who were not located. No descriptions of the suspects were provided to police.
Residential Burglary – On January 13th at 4:35PM, police responded to the 15800 block of Ibsen Pl in Woodbridge (22026) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30AM and 3:30PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear door which had been forced open. Jewelry, 2 cameras, 2 laptops, 3 firearms and other property, valued around $20,000, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On January 12th at 4:23PM, police responded to the18100 block of Purvis Dr in Triangle (22172) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:20AM and 5:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A laptop and gaming console with game, valued around $1,700, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On January 11th at 3:17PM, police responded to the 1400 block of Forest Ln in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 3:00PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a garage door which had been forced open. An iPad and camera, valued around $1,700, were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 11th at 8:19PM, police responded to the 12100 block of Salemtown Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 7:30AM and 7:30PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a front window which had been damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 11th at 11:30AM, police responded to the 1500 block of Woodside Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she heard a noise coming from a kitchen door. Upon checking out the noise, the homeowner discovered an unknown man on her porch attempting to open a rear door. Once discovered by the homeowner, the man fled the area on foot. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. The homeowner was unable to provide a description of the man other than noting his complexion was dark.
