INCIDENTS
Indecent Exposure

On two separate occasions, police have responded to the Coverstone area of Manassas for a report of an indecent exposure. In both incidents, an unknown man would approach young males in isolated areas in the Coverstone area. The suspect would approach the child from behind and expose himself, in one instance, ask the child a series of inappropriate questions. All of the incidents were reported to occur between 10:30 a.m. and noon. The first incident was reported to have occurred on Dec. 5 at 10:10 a.m. Police responded to the 11200 block of Soldiers Ridge Circl in Manassas for a suspicious person. The male victim, 6 of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the area above and was approached by an unknown man who asked him a series of questions, several were sexual in nature. The suspect then followed the victim home. The suspect never touched the child or attempted to enter his home. The second incident was reported to have occurred Dec. 11 at 11:58 a.m. Police responded to the 11200 block of Soldiers Ridge Circle in Manassas for an indecent exposure call. The male victim, 12 of Manassas, reported to police that he was in the area above when he was approached by an unknown man who exposed himself. Police had received a similar call in the area near the Chuck-E-Cheese. A witness in the area located a man matching the description and took the attached photos. Lookout: Hispanic male, between 20 and 29, 5’07”-5’09” 200 lbs. with brown hair, brown eyes and a ‘chinstrap’ beard. Found Remains
On Dec. 13 at 11:33 a.m., police responded to the area of Dale Boulevard and Benita Fitzgerald Drive in Woodbridge for a report of found human remains. Surveyors working in the wooded area near the intersection reported to police that they had located human remains. Police located a badly decomposed body in the wooded area about 350-400 yards from the roadway. Age, sex and race are unknown due to the decomposition. The investigation continues.

Burglary
On Dec. 12 at 7:18 p.m., police responded to the 13200 block of Queensdale Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window that had been broken out. A laptop, jewelry and two guns, valued around $32,000, were reported missing.

Burglary
On Dec. 12 at 5:11 p.m., police responded to the 2700 block of Cantania Place in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 5 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window that had been broken out. No items were reported missing.

Burglary
On Dec. 12 at 4:41 p.m., police responded to the 15100 block of Holleyside Dr. in Dumfries for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 7:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window that had been forced opened.

ARRESTS
Grand Larceny / Stolen Vehicle

On Dec. 12 at 6:15 p.m., an officer utilizing the Automated License Plate Recognition cameras was alerted to a stolen vehicle in the area of Cloverdale Road and Dillon Avenue in Woodbridge. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, being operated by the accused. The accused ignored the officer’s lights and siren and continued to the dead-end of Elmwood Court where the accused fled on foot. The accused was arrested after a short foot pursuit. A search of the accused resulted in marijuana. The vehicle was stolen out of Fairfax County. Arrested: Nathaniel Bernard Hines, 21, of 14425 Lamar Road in Woodbridge. Charged with grand larceny, eluding and possession of marijuana. Court date and bond information unavailable.
