**ARRESTS**

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On November 2nd at 4:36PM, police responded to the 1300 block of Meadowbrook Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in a verbal altercation with another family member. Following the argument, the accused locked himself in a bathroom inside the residence. Once inside the bathroom, several gunshots were heard by other occupants of the residence. Police arrived and detained the accused without further incident. No injuries were reported.

Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On November 4th at 5:15PM, police responded to the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) for a disorderly subject. Officers had brought the accused to the hospital to be evaluated. While in the hospital, the accused became agitated and wrapped his legs around one of the officers. Following a brief struggle, the accused released the officer and was detained. No injuries were reported.

Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On November 3rd at 3:00PM, police responded to the 17000 block of Capri Ln in Woodbridge (22191) for a disorderly subject. Caller reported to police that a neighbor, later identified as the accused, was heard yelling in her residence. Officers arrived and were informed by family members that the accused was out of control and possibly had a knife. Officers encountered the accused in the residence, at which point, she came towards 2 officers with a pair of scissors raised in her hand. Following a brief struggle, the accused was arrested without further incident. No injuries were reported.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on LEO
Court date set for December 17, 2012, held WITHOUT bond

**INCIDENTS**

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling | Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On November 3rd at 5:13PM, police responded to the 3400 block of Howard St in Dumfries (22026) for a shots fired call. Caller advised that she was on the phone with a friend who resides in a residence in the above area. While on the phone, the friend made several statements about suicide and then a gunshot was heard. The caller immediately notified police. Officers responded and set up a perimeter around the residence. Entry was made and the occupant, a 40 year old woman, was located and detained without further incident. She was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. Multiple shots had been fired inside the residence, however no one was struck. Charges are pending against the accused who remains hospitalized.

Commercial Burglary –On November 4th at 9:03PM, police responded to the Dale City Sport Club located at 14730 Birchdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for an alarm. Officers arrived and discovered the front door open and rear window broken out. A police K-9 checked the business but did not locate anyone inside. No items were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 3rd at 1:39AM, police responded to the 13400 block of Green Acre Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM on November 2nd and 1:00AM on November 3rd. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A TV and laptop, valued around $1,800, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 2nd at 9:00PM, police responded to the 15400 block of Binder Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM and 9:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A laptop, camera and a gaming console with related games and equipment, valued around $3,000, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 2nd at 7:37PM, police responded to the 14300 block of Birchdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:00PM and 7:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Jewelry, 2 laptops and other property, valued around $2,000, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 2nd at 7:12PM, police responded to the 14300 block of Birchdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM and 7:00PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a side door which had been forced open. No property was reported missing, however, several rooms inside the residence had been ransacked.

Residential Burglary – On November 2nd at 3:38PM, police responded to the 4700 block of Pearson Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 2:30PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been broken out. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
