Shooting
ARRESTThe victim in yesterday’s shooting in the wooded area near the dead end of Great Oaks Drive has been identified as a male,40 of Woodbridge. The investigation revealed the victim and the accused got into an altercation over a continuous feud between the two men. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly shot the victim. The victim is expected to survive. The accused was located in the wooded area around 2:30 p.m. and arrested without further incident. Arrested: Timothy Craig Freeland, 53, of 13609 Rush Dr. in Woodbridge. Charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Court date set for Jan. 26, 2012, held without bond.
Shooting (Previously Released): On Nov. 3 at 11:20 a.m., police responded to the wooded area near the dead end of Great Oaks Drive in Woodbridge for a report of a shooting. The victim, an adult male, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in an altercation. During the encounter, the accused allegedly shot the victim in the upper body area. The injuries do not appear life threatening. No lookout is currently available. At this time, this incident does not appear to be a random act.

Burglary
On Nov. 3 at 4:34 p.m., police responded to the 4700 block of Kirkdale Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 5:30 and 8:45 p.m. Nov. 2. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window, which had been broken out. Medications and other miscellaneous items valued around $1,400 were reported missing.

Burglary
On Nov. 3 at 4:08 p.m., police responded to the 3000 block of Shagwood Ct. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a front door that had been forced opened. Jewelry, a laptop and other items valued around $6,000 were reported missing.

Burglary
On Nov. 2 at 9:33 p.m., police responded to the 9500 block of Damascus Dr. in Manassas for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 4:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. Entry appeared to have been made through a kitchen window. Miscellaneous items of unknown value were reported missing. 

Burglary
On Nov. 2 at 9:20 a.m., police responded to the 14700 block of Dunbar Lane in Woodbridge for a burglary to an unoccupied residence. Property manager reported to police the burglary occurred between 7 p.m. Oct. 29 and 9:20 a.m. Nov. 2. Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured rear window. Copper piping valued around $500 was reported missing. 

Burglary to a Business
On Nov. 1 at 8:22 a.m., police responded to the La Laguna Restaurant at 7557 Centreville Road in Manassas for a burglary. Staff reported to police the burglary occurred between 3 and 5 a.m. Entry appeared to have been made through the front glass door that was broken out. No items were reported missing, however a TV inside the restaurant, valued around $1,500, was vandalized. 

Attempted Burglary
On Nov. 2 at 7:51 p.m., police responded to the 9800 block of Greenview Lane in Manassas for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 9 a.m. and 7:50 p.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a sliding glass door. A cut was observed in the outer portion of the door. No entry appeared to have been made and no items were reported missing.
