UPDATEAaron Thomas, the man known as the East Coast Rapist, arrived in Prince William County Nov. 29 to face charges. He is accused of attacking three teenage girls on Halloween night 2009. Thomas will face his first court appearance the morning of Nov. 30 at the Prince William County Courthouse in Manassas at 8 a.m. A video of his transfer to Prince William custody can be found on the department’s Facebook page.
ARRESTS
Death Investigation
On Sept. 24 at 1:40 p.m., police responded to the 9300 block of Boley Place in Nokesville for a trespassing call. Caller reported to police that a vehicle, driver later identified as the accused, was seen driving around in the area. Caller further reported to police that the accused was seen getting out of her vehicle and trespassing on the caller’s property. Police responded to the area and located the accused. The investigation revealed that the accused had buried her baby in the wooded area near the area listed above.
The investigation further revealed that the accused gave birth to the infant 5 days prior, on Sept. 19, in Oxon Hill, Md., and that the infant was a still birth. The accused traveled to Prince William County on Sept. 24 and disposed of the remains. The deceased infant was located in a shallow grave adjacent to the roadway and transported to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. As of this release, the cause of death is unknown. Prince William County Police have been working with the Prince George’s County Police in Maryland on this joint investigation. On Nov. 16, this agency obtained a warrant against the accused. The accused turned herself into police on Nov. 21 without incident. This case still remains active as Prince George’s County Police continue their aspect of the investigation. Arrested: Lisa Maria Steele, 27, of 829 Marcy Ave. in Oxon Hill, Md. Charged with prohibition against concealment of a dead body. Court date set for Dec. 8, 2011, held on a $5,000 secured bond at the time of her arrest.

Related Armed Robberies
On Nov. 25, police responded to three reported armed robberies which occurred within 10 minutes of one another. At 4:40 a.m., police responded to the McDonalds at 14362 Gideon Dr. in Woodbridge for the first armed robbery. The male victim, 13 of Woodbridge, reported to police that he had just left the restaurant when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men displayed a knife and took the victim’s PanDigitial Tablet, valued around $200, before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. At 4:41 a.m., police then responded to the parking lot of Potomac Mills Mall at 2700 Potomac Mills Circle for the second reported robbery. The male victim, 15 of Dumfries, reported to police that he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded all of the victim’s property. The men took the victim’s watch, cell phone and two pairs of jeans, valued around $350, before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. At 4:45 a.m., police responded to the 2700 block of Metro Plaza for the third robbery. The male and female victims, 29 and 28, respectively, both of Woodbridge, reported to police that they were loading shopping gifts into their vehicle in the parking lot when they were approached by two unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded money. The other subject took reached in the victim’s vehicle and took a purse, valued around $300, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. All three robberies are believed to be related. Lookout: Two black males, both reported to be in their early 20s, 5’06”-5’10”, medium build. Both were last seen wearing all dark clothing.
Burglary
On November 28th at 4:29 p.m., police responded to the 1300 block of Saxon St. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. Nov. 24 and 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 25. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. Three firearms, including two long guns and one handgun, in addition to ammunition and a carrying case, total value around $970, were reported missing.
Burglary
On Nov. 28 at 11:42 a.m., police responded to the 12300 block of Mulberry Ct. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred sometime on Nov. 23. Entry appeared to have been made into an unlocked vehicle that was parked in an attached garage. The overhead bay door on the garage had been left opened. No entry was made into the main residence. An iPod, valued around $250, was reported missing from the vehicle.
Burglary
On Nov. 27 at 3 p.m., police responded to 10900 Inspiration Point Place in Manassas for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary around 10:20 p.m. Nov. 26 after their alarm was activated. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear window. No items were reported missing.
