Attempted Malicious Wounding on Law Enforcement Officer
On Nov. 11 at 2:02 a.m., police responded to the America’s Bar & Grill at 10611 Lomond Dr. in Manassas for a fight. Caller reported to police that a fight had broken out at the bar between two groups. During the encounter, a participant in the fight, later identified as the accused, allegedly brandished a handgun. The accused fled and the fight had dispersed prior to police arrival. During the investigation, police quickly received information that the accused possibly lived off of Sweetbriar Stree in Manassas City. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle that matched the description of the one provided by witnesses at the scene. As police were approaching the vehicle, the accused suddenly accelerated towards an officer in his cruiser in an attempt to ram the vehicle. The officer’s evasive driving was able to safely get out of the path of the accused. The vehicle continued and was stopped in the area of Ashton Avenue and Rolling Road where the accused was taken into custody. Several firearms and ammunition were located in the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Arrested: Christine Alexa Neal, 40, of 10025 Willow Grove Trail in Manassas. Charged with attempted malicious wounding on law enforcement officer, felony eluding, obstruction of justice, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated while in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and brandishing. Court date set for Jan. 27, 2012, held on a $15,000 secured bond.

Armed Robbery
On Nov. 10 at 2:32 p.m., police responded to the area of Warf Lane and Olde Port Lane Triangle for a robbery. The male victim, 26 of Dale City, reported to police he was in the area above when he was approached by an unknown man. The man allegedly displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man took the victim’s backpack, which contained a cell phone and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Police checked the area but did not locate the suspect. Lookout: Black male, between 20 & 25, 5’08”, thin build. Last seen wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans and a black mask.
