Malicious Wounding / Attempted Petit Larceny
On Nov. 9 at 6:12 p.m., police responded to the Pak Bazaar at 13255 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge for a stabbing. The male victim, 38 of Woodbridge, reported to police he was working inside the store when an unknown male juvenile entered the store and attempted to shoplift. The victim got the male juvenile to leave the store but he returned a short time later. An altercation ensued between the victim and the juvenile. During the encounter, the juvenile pulled out a broken bottle and cut the victim on his stomach. Minor, superficial injuries were reported. The juvenile fled the area prior to police arrival. Lookout: Hispanic male, between 15 & 17, 5’03” 100 lbs., thin build. Last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants and a black North Face-style jacket.
Attempted Malicious Wounding / Brandishing
On Nov. 9 at 8:46 p.m., police responded to investigate a brandishing call that was reported to have occurred in the 4400 block of Eames Lane in Dale City. The female victim, 15 of Dale City, reported to police that she had gone to the residence of a known acquaintance in the area above to retrieve money that was owed to her. At the residence, the victim encountered another male who displayed a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim assaulted the male and left the residence to contact police. Police responded to the residence and was unable to locate the suspect. The investigation continues.
ARRESTS
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling
On Nov. 9 at 8:45 p.m., police responded to the 3700 block of Mill Creek Road in Haymarket for a shooting call. The male victim, 43 of Haymarket, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a rifle that discharged into the ceiling. No injuries were reported. The accused was arrested without incident. Arrested: Wesley McCoy Jenkins, 33, of the 3700 block of Mill Creek Road in Haymarket. Charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, reckless handling of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Court date set for Dec. 20, 2011, held without bond.
OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS
Burglary
On Nov. 9 at 4:45 p.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Hendricks Dr. in Woodbridge for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police the burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 8. Entry appeared to have been gained through a rear door that had been pried opened. A TV and laptop valued around $1,400, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency were reported missing.
