INCIDENTS
Malicious Wounding – On October 24th at 4:49PM, police responded to the 2500 block of Chadwick Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a domestic. The victim, a 28 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim resulting in a struggle. While the two were struggling, the accused attempted to grab a handgun. The encounter continued into the parking lot where witnesses were able to break up the fight. At that point, the accused fled the area. The victim sustained injuries to her upper body. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 24th at 12:00PM, police responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 14300 block of Fontaine Ct in Woodbridge (22193) on October 23rd. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that on that date, she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, physically blocked her from leaving the residence. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Described as a Hispanic male, 5’9” / 150lbs, medium build with black hair & brown eyes
Wanted for abduction and domestic assault & battery
Strong Armed Robbery – On October 24th at 10:00PM, police responded to the 7500 block of Quail Run Ln in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 50 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was exiting her residence when she encountered an unknown man. The man forcibly grabbed her purse resulting in a struggle. The man was able to get the purse way from the victim and flee the area. No injuries were reported.

Commercial Burglary – On October 24th at 10:50AM, police responded to the Minnieland Day School located at 4290 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Staff reported to police that sometime over night, an unknown person(s) entered the business through an unlocked window after cutting through a screen. One of the facility’s vans was reported stolen, in addition to, a gaming console with games and equipment, valued around $500. At 8:48PM, police responded to the 2400 block of East Longview Dr for a vehicle fire. Fire and Rescue had extinguished the fire which was discovered to have involved the stolen van. The van was determined to be a total loss of about $43,000. No injuries were reported. Detectives from the Property Crimes Unit and the Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating.
**ARRESTS**
Sex Offender on School Property – On October 24th at 2:00PM, police responded to the Lake Ridge United Methodist Church located at 3966 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a call about a sex offender on school property. The investigation revealed that the accused was inside the church while there was a home school program being conducted. The accused was participating in a separate, unrelated program at the church which was being held at the same time. Afterwards the accused was assisting with cleanup and entered one of the school classrooms occupied by 7 children. The accused did not interact with any of the children, only the adult teacher present. Police were called when the accused encountered another church patron in the parking lot. Officers arrived and confirmed the accused was a registered sex offender and, as part of the registry, was not allowed on the premises during school or daycare hours. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with sex offenses prohibiting entry onto school or other property
Court date set for January 2, 2013, released on a $2,500 unsecured bond
Attempted Unlawful Wounding – On October 24th at 8:12AM, police responded to the 3400 block of Brookville Ln in Woodbridge (22192) for a domestic. The victim, a 30 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. The accused retrieved a kitchen knife and the dispute proceeded to the backyard where he began waving the knife in the air. A neighbor witnessed the encounter and called police. Officers arrived at the residence and detained the accused without further incident. The victim was not injured.
