Joint Death Investigation | Fire Related *REMAINING VICTIMS IDENTIFIED – On October 16th, detectives from the Homicide Unit were notified of the positive identifications of the two remaining victims involved in the trailer fire which was reported in the 18700 block of Fuller Heights Rd in Triangle on October 8th. The investigation continues.

Joint Death Investigation | Fire related [Previously Released] - On October 8th at 3:22AM, police responded to the 18700 block of Fuller Heights Rd in Triangle (22172) to assist the Department of Fire and Rescue with a trailer fire. Once the fire was extinguished, fire and rescue crews discovered three victims inside the trailer. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of their deaths is still under investigation. At this point, the victims are believed to be adults. Further information about the victims, including their genders and ages, is currently unknown. A positive identification will need to be made before the victims’ identities are released. No other injuries were reported. The bodies of the victims will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. This is currently a joint investigation with the Fire Marshal’s Office looking into the cause of the fire and the police department investigating the deaths. On October 10th, detectives from the Homicide Unit were notified of a positive identification of one of the victim’s involved in this incident. At this point in the investigation, police and fire officials do not suspect foul play regarding the deaths of the victims. The investigation continues. Fire Marshal’s Office news release

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Burglary While Armed *ARRESTS – On October 17th, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau made multiple arrests into the shooting incident which was reported to have occurred in the 3600 block of Meandering Way in Woodbridge (22192).

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 27 year old man of Woodbridge, and Dejon BOYD were inside BOYD’s apartment in the above area when they heard a knock at the front door. Upon answering the door, the victim was confronted by a man, later identified as Roosevelt SINGLETON, who was armed with a handgun. A struggle ensued between the two men and during the encounter SINGLETON was shot multiple times. During the struggle, BOYD attempted to intervene and break up the fight but inadvertently struck the victim with a glass bottle to his head.

After the encounter, BOYD and the victim were able to flee the residence where they encountered officers responding to the scene. Officers located SINGLETON and another suspect, Casey TURBOK, on Smoketown Rd. The victim and SINGLETON were both flown by helicopter to an area hospital for treatment. At this time, all injuries are considered to be non-life threatening. 

During the investigation, another party, Ronnie SAWYER, was located and determined to be involved in this incident. SAWYER had allegedly driven SINGLETON and TURBOK to the apartment to confront BOYD over an ongoing dispute between BOYD and TURBOK. A search warrant was subsequently executed at BOYD’s apartment. During the search, a stolen handgun was discovered. Following the investigation, charges were placed against the parties involved. The investigation continues.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Burglary While Armed [Previously Released] – On October 17th at 12:09AM, police responded to the 3600 block of Meandering Way in Woodbridge (22192) for a report of a man who was shot.  When police arrived they encountered one adult male with gunshot wounds and one adult male suffering from multiple cut wounds.  Both men were transported by helicopter to the hospital.  The case is still under investigation but preliminary information indicates the parties were known to each other and that this was not a random incident. 

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery | Assault & Battery – On October 19th at 3:07AM, police responded to the 7-11 located at 12125 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. An employee, a 54 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached her. The man struck the victim to her head with a metal pipe and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Male, unknown race, between 23 & 27 years of age, 6’0”-6’5”, 175-200lbs with a medium build
Last seen wearing camouflage hooded jacket, gray pants, black & white shoes, and black mask

Residential Burglary – On October 20th at 5:40PM, police responded to a residence located in the 500 block of Harbor Side St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary to a boat. The boat owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on October 19th and 5:40PM on October 20th. There were no signs of forced entry into the boat. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. Miscellaneous property, valued around $100, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On October 20th at 1:50AM, police responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Wilmington St in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on July 25th and 1:30AM on October 20th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Two televisions and a computer, total value around $2,000, were reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On October 18th at 10:38PM, police responded to the Prince William County Landfill located at 14811 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) for an alarm. Officers arrived and determined that an unknown person forced entry into two buildings on the property. A check of both buildings by officers and a police K-9 was conducted. No suspect was located and no property was reported missing, however several rooms were ransacked. A review of the surveillance cameras showed the suspect described below.

White male, between 35 & 40 years of age with a thin build and bald head
Last seen wearing all dark clothing, possibly coveralls

Residential Burglary – On October 18th at 12:04PM, police responded to a residence located in the 12700 block of Lighthouse Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:40PM and 3:55PM on October 17th. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured basement level door. No property was reported missing, however property inside the residence had been moved.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On October 18th at 1:47PM, police responded a residence located in the 8100 block of Peakwood Ct in Manassas (20111) to investigate an attempted residence. The homeowner reported to police that at around 11:30AM she was inside her residence when she heard someone knock at her front door. The homeowner did not know the man and did not answer the door. At one point, the man began to kick the door and shake the handle before leaving the area. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

White male, between 30 & 35 years, 5’7” with a medium build, shoulder length black hair, and an unshaven face

**ARRESTS**

Armed Robbery – On October 16th at 10:50AM, police responded to a residence located in the 7400 block of Willoughby Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 27 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was inside her residence when she heard a knock at her front door. The victim answered the door and encountered two suspects, a man and woman, both of which were known to her. Once the door was opened, the suspects forced their way into the residence. The female suspect struck the victim, displayed a knife, and demanded the victim’s money and prescription medications. The suspects fled the residence once they obtained the property. Minor injuries were reported. On October 21st, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified, located, and arrested both suspects involved in this case with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force. This incident is believed to be related to an unreported larceny involving all three parties.

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 20th at 12:08AM, police responded to a residence located in the 14300 block of Westway Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic incident. The victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, displayed a kitchen knife and cut the victim to his arm. The injury was non-life threatening. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Abduction | Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 18th at 3:34PM, police responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of Pond Run Way in Woodbridge (22192) in investigate a domestic incident which occurred earlier that morning around 1:00AM. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim which led to a struggle. At several points during the assault, the accused choked the victim while making threats. Later in the day, the victim was able to leave the residence and contact police. The victim sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 20th at 2:15PM, police responded to a residence located in the 2700 block of Burrough Hill Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic incident. The investigation revealed that both parties were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused, S. PARADA, struck her husband, E. PARADA, several times with her fist and TV remote. The encounter further escalated when E. PARADA began to choke his wife. Minor injuries were reported. Following the encounter, both parties were arrested.

Abduction | Assault & Battery – On October 19th at 2:35AM, police responded to the area of Kingswell Dr and Kinkade St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a suspicious vehicle. Once in the area, officers located the vehicle occupied by the victim, a 20 year old woman of Manassas, and the accused, a known acquaintance. The victim reported to police that she and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and forcibly prevented the victim from getting out of the vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The accused was found to be in possession of marijuana at the time of arrest.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On October 20th at 6:45PM, police responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Wanda Ct in Woodbridge for a domestic dispute. While investigating the verbal altercation, the accused became irate and proceeded to run towards the victim, a 36 year old man of Woodbridge. Officers attempted to intervene which lead to a struggle. During the encounter, the accused forcibly kicked one of the officers to her leg. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, a juvenile, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 19th at 9:20PM, police responded to the 1900 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that the daughter of the accused had been involved in an ongoing dispute with other neighborhood juveniles. Once learned of the dispute, the accused went to the above area to confront the other parties involved. The encounter escalated and, at one point, the accused displayed a handgun and fired a round into the air. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
