PWC police ask for community’s help in abduction attempt

Abduction | Assault & Battery – On April 7th at 9:40PM, police responded to the 10000 block of Portsmouth Rd in Manassas (20109) for an abduction. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was walking in the area above when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. The man grabbed the victim, covered her mouth, and attempted to drag the victim to a nearby alley. The victim fought back and was able to scream causing the man to flee on foot. During the encounter, the victim was struck by an unknown blunt object. Minor injuries were reported.
