Man with gun robs Nokesville 7-Eleven early Wednesday morning

Strangulation | Abduction *ARREST – On June 6, George Al VASSIE II, who was wanted in connection with a strangulation and abduction reported to police on May 19, was located and arrested without incident.

Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On May 19 at 1:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Fowlers Mill Dr in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 33-year-old woman of Gainesville, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused put his fingers in the victim’s mouth choking her. The victim was eventually able to break free and another family contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as George Al VASSIE II.  Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On June 7 at 3:41AM, officers responded to the 7-11 convenience store located at 13050 Nokesville Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a robbery. An employee of the business reported to police that an unknown man entered the store, brandished a gun, and took an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the business on foot. A police K-9 searched for the suspect who was not located. There were no injuries reported.
Suspect Description:
White male, unknown age, 5’7’’, and unknown weight
Last seen wearing a grey jacket, black pants with white stripes, and black shoes

Brandishing | Hit & Run – On June 5 at 11:45AM, officers responded to the area of Prince William Parkway and Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a hit & run auto accident. The victim, a 42-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that at approximately 3:30AM that morning, she was stopped in her vehicle at the above intersection when an unknown man in another vehicle pointed a gun at her. While attempting to flee the area, the suspect’s vehicle struck the vehicle being driven by the victim causing minor damage. There were no injuries reported.

Black male, unknown age, with a dark complexion and short, black hair

Last seen driving a black Nissan with two doors

Residential Burglary – On June 5 at 4:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Filarete St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 8:15AM and 4:00PM on June 5, an unknown person entered the residence through a rear door which was found damaged. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On June 2 at 2:32AM, officers responded to the 7300 block of Castle Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 51-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face multiple times. At one point, the accused threatened the victim with a knife before leaving the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the accused. On June 4, officers located the accused who was taken into custody without further incident.
