**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary – On June 30th at 6:19PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16100 block of Taconic Cir in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:30PM and 4:30PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No property was reported missing. The homeowner was not home at the time of the incident.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 1st at 5:39AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Asheville St in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 10:00PM on June 30th and 5:30AM on July 1st, entry was attempted into the home through a front glass door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 30th at 3:02AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2400 block of Kilpatrick Pl in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, retrieved a large knife. A witness to the incident, a 24 year old man, attempted to intervene and became involved in a physical altercation with the accused. Officers arrived shortly thereafter and separated all parties. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with attempted malicious wounding, domestic assault & battery, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice
