On Sunday, August 11, 2013 at approximately 4 a.m., Prince William County Fire and Rescue units and County Police were dispatched to a two story middle of the row townhouse fire in the 3600 block of Felmore Ct. and first arriving units observed smoke from the 2nd floor master bedroom windows, according to Curtis Brodie, CFEI, battalion chief of Prince William County Fire & Rescue.
The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to the master bedroom with no extension to the rest of the house.
There were a total of 3 occupants in the home at the time of the fire. One adult male sustained a minor injury and was treated on the scene and released.
Smoke detectors were working and did activate.
One adult female was arrested by Prince William Fire Marshal’s and County Police for arson to an occupied dwelling and is being held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center. Her arraignment is scheduled for today, according to Brodie’s report.
