PWC Landfill and Balls Ford Rd. facility closed Thanksgiving Day

Prince William County Landfill and Balls Ford Road Yard Waste Compost Facility will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 in observance of Thanksgiving Day, according to a news release from the county’s Solid Waste Division.
These facilities will resume normal operation on Friday, Nov. 24. Visit http://www.pwcgov.org/trashandrecycling for more information about Prince William County Solid Waste facilities, services and programs.

Steve Burke, an Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works for the City of Manassas, has been named City Manager by Manassas City Council effective February. 3, 2025. Interim City Manager Douglas Keen will return to his post as Police Chief and an Assistant City Manager.
