Prince William County has announced it will have New Inspection Guidelines for Commercial Projects that will go into effect April 29, 2024
These new guidelines will address the process, procedures, and the order for obtaining final inspection approvals for the construction of commercial buildings.
According to a county news release, “Changes to the inspection process are aimed at limiting delays and extra expenses for customers at a critical time in a project, which is the final approval.”
The county’s development services office says that “the update will improve overall consistency by helping all stake- holders to prepare for inspections, address compliance issues, improve communications, and customer expectations.”
Please see the Commercial Building Final Inspection Order and Flowchart, which includes field inspections procedures, commercial inspection codes, common inspection issues and contact information.
