Prince William County firefighters responded to Glenkirk Elementary School in Gainesville this morning at the report of a smell of gas outside the school building. Staff and students were evacuated.
The fire officials did not getting any readings of a gas leak. Based on the recommendation of the Fire Department, the students are returning to the building. A letter will be sent home, according to Irene Cromer, supervisor of community relations for Prince William County Schools.
