World-Class teachers from our area are among 14 who have been nominated for the Prince William County Teacher of the Year Award and Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award by their school communities.
Three winners will be selected from the finalists as PWCS Teachers of the Year at their respective level–elementary, middle or high school.

The nominees for the PWCS Award, their instructional areas, and their schools are:
• Jason Brown, science and mathematics, Graham Park Middle School;
• Julie Bye, mathematics, Graham Park Middle School;
• Katherine Doyle, third-grade, Springwoods Elementary School;
• Jennifer Long, AP human geography and AP world history, Hylton High School; and
• Susan Watters, AP European history (including ESOL), Osbourn Park High School.
• Kathleen Blanco, kindergarten, Bristow Run Elementary School;
• Elizabeth Crayne, business education, Stonewall Jackson High School;
• Stephanie Nash, algebra and geometry, Stonewall Jackson High School;
• Julia Renberg, chemistry and forensic science, Battlefield High School;
• Brian Taylor, international history (AICE/Cambridge program) and US/VA government, Brentsville District High School;
• Teresa Marshall, second-grade, Nokesville Elementary School;
• Denise Allen, algebra, Hylton High School;
• Jason Bell, world history and geography, Gar-Field High School;
• Natalie Billick, Spanish/ESOL and digital courses, New Directions Alternative Center;
