Chris Price, a Deputy County Executive for Prince William, will become City Manager for the City of Chesapeake, VA Nov. 4, according to a report in the Virginian Pilot newspaper on Sept. 11.
The newspaper story said Price was chosen by the Chesapeake City Council from among four finalists. A graduate of Penn State University, Price was formerly employed by the City of Chesapeake as a senior planner, earned his master’s degree in Public Administration at Old Dominion University, came to Prince William County as director of planning and was later appointed a deputy county executive.
He was also Prince William County’s Acting Director of Economic Development until the recent appointment of a new director.
