And the band played on…. Even with a last-minute venue change. The Prince William Community Band held its Fall Fest Concert on Oct. 16 from at 3 p.m. although band members had to change their performance from Patriot High School to Osbourn High School just days before the performance.
The performance was relocated so quickly that the band planners opted to have someone in Patriot High School’s parking lot redirect concert goers to the new location approximately 15 minutes away.
The Fall Fest Concert was conducted by Foster E. Jones. The lively hour-long concert included music played by the 80-piece band that was familiar to the ear although the audience may not have known the titles. The band opened with “The Billboard March,” written by John N. Klohr.
