PWC bank robbery suspect detained

On April 12, 2012 at 1:36 p.m., Prince William County Police responded to the Bank of America located at 13976 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, public information officer. The clerk told police that an unknown man entered the bank, approached the counter and passed a note demanding money, Perok said.

According to county police, the suspect implied he had a weapon; however, bank employees did not see a weapon. No injuries were reported. The suspect fled the scene as police were arriving in the area. Units on perimeter were able to quickly locate the suspect in the area of Prince William Parkway and Church Hill Drive in Woodbridge where he was detained without incident. Arrest information is unavailable at this time, Perok said.
