PW Police respond to burglary in progress call, arrest man inside Woodbridge home

**ARRESTS**

Residential Burglary – On July 27 at 4:56AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Alison Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that she heard noises coming from the basement area of the home and immediately called police. Officers checked the residence and located the accused in the basement. The accused was challenged by officer and detained without incident.

The investigation revealed the accused entered the home through an unsecured door. At the time of the arrest, the accused was in possession of medications taken from the residence and a used syringe. The accused was not known to the homeowner and was wanted on several unrelated charges. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Benjamin Harold WEAVER, was arrested.
Arrested on July 27:
Benjamin Harold WEAVER, 28, of 3995 Melting Snow Pl in Dumfries
Charged with burglary, possession of a scheduled I or II narcotic, petit larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia
Court Date: September 7, 2017 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
