PW Police provide update on abduction cases from June and August

Abduction | Sexual Battery *ARREST
– On October 31, the suspect sought in connection to the sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at the Holiday Inn located at 10424 Balls Ford Rd., Manassas (20109) on August 14 was arrested. The accused, identified as Jerry Vance KAIGLER, was taken into custody by Maryland State Police without incident and will await extradition back to Prince William County.

Abduction | Sexual Battery [Previously Released] – On August 15 at 1:56AM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at the Holiday Inn located at 10424 Balls Ford Rd., Manassas (20109) on August 14. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 46-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the suspect, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the suspect grabbed the victim by the neck and pushed her onto the bed. While on the bed, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim and held her down, preventing her from leaving the room. Eventually the parties separated, and the victim was able to contact a family member who assisted in contacting police. Prior to police arrival, the suspect fled the scene. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the suspect, identified as Jerry Vance KAIGLER. Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful.

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery *ARREST – On November 3, the suspect sought in connection to the abduction that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 2900 block of Gilder Way in Dumfries (22026) on June 26 was arrested. The accused, identified as Demont Quentez LEWIS, was taken into custody by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office without incident.

Charged with 1 count of abduction and 2 counts of domestic assault & battery

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery [Previously Released] – On June 26 at 8:32PM, officers began to investigate an ongoing domestic situation that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 2900 block of Gilder Way in Dumfries (22026). The victim, a 36-year-old woman, reported to police that in the early morning hours on June 21 she and a family member, identified as the suspect, were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated. During the altercation, the suspect grabbed at and struck the victim throughout her body and then prevented her from leaving the room on multiple occasions. The parties eventually separated, and the suspect left the residence. The victim recently reported the incident and minor injuries to police prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Demont Quentez LEWIS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
