PW Police looking for suspects in assault and shooting in Woodbridge

Malicious Wounding – On November 14 at 8:48PM, officers responded to the Riverwoods Apartment Complex located at 2700 block of Yosocomico Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they encountered a large group of people. Officers also located the victim, a 23-year-old man of Woodbridge, in front of an apartment building suffering a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers, including a police K-9, conducted an extensive search of the area. No shooter was located. Multiple vehicles were struck by gunfire. No other injuries were reported. The victim was flown to an area hospital and is expected to survive. Witnesses were not cooperative with investigators. At this point, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Abduction | Domestic Assault and Battery – On November 14 at 11:07AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 12600 block of Dulcinea Pl in Woodbridge (22192) the night prior, November 13, at approximately 8:00PM. The victim, a 34-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim while holding a knife and making threats. The altercation eventually ceased without further incident and the victim contacted police the next day. The accused was not immediately located. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Max John CARMOUCHE.
