PW police investigate attempted burglary at Lake Ridge Golf Course

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On August 8th at 1:00AM, police responded to the 13700 block of Kaywood Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30PM and 9:00PM on August 7th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. Two gaming consoles, gaming equipment, and other property, total value around $3,500, were reported missing.

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On August 7th at 7:38AM, police responded to the Lake Ridge Golf Course located at 12350 Cotton Mill Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Staff reported to police that sometime during the overnight hours, an unknown person(s) attempted to make entry into a maintenance shed located on the property. No entry was made into the shed however a golf cart which was parked in front of the shed was driven and damaged. Damage was also found on the course greens from the golf cart being driven over them. Total damage was estimated to be around $8,000.
