Purse snatched from Woodbridge walker in broad daylight

**INCIDENTS**

Strong Armed Robbery – On July 11 at 11:00AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which occurred on July 10 around 10:30PM in the 1300 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 33-year-old woman of Woodbridge, was walking in the above area when she was approached from behind by an unknown suspect. During the encounter, the suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and a struggle ensued. The suspect eventually took the victim’s purse then fled the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. The victim did not immediately report the incident to police.

Black male, 30 years of age, 5’09”, 185lbs with a medium build, wearing a white shirt

Commercial Burglary – On July 11 at 4:00AM, officers responded to the Boost Mobile located at 18069 Triangle Shopping Center in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate an alarm activation. When officers arrived, the front glass door was found shattered and a rear door was left open. A police K-9 searched the area for any possible suspects who were not located. No property was reported missing.
