DNA Day celebration at NOVA-Manassas
On April 25, the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will celebrate National DNA Day with several activities.
At 11 a.m. in Colgan Theater, Professor William Woodard will discuss how science helped him find his father. Woodard’s presentation is called “My Personal History DNA Mystery.”
From noon to 2 p.m., NOVA students will enjoy DNA activities, live music, food and giveaways.
National DNA Day commemorates the discovery of the double helix in 1953 and the completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003.
