Prince William Police Department incidents and arrests - Dec. 29, 2016

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Residential Burglary- On December 23 at 9:08AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2700 block of Dettingen Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary.  A resident of the apartment reported to police that sometime between 12:00PM and 4:40PM, entry was attempted into the apartment through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the apartment and no property was reported missing. 

**ARRESTS**

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] –  On December 28 at 7:47PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3200 block of Antrim Cir in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic. When officers arrived, officers located a man sitting on the front porch and identified him as one of the parties involved. While officers were conducting the investigation, the accused was determined to be intoxicated. As officers went to detain the accused, he pulled away and attempted to run. The accused was eventually taken into custody and placed in the rear seat of a police cruiser. While sitting in the cruiser, the accused spit in the face of two officers. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO and 1 count of public intoxication
