Prince William police charge two with strangulation in separate March 7 incidents

Prince William County Police Department’s report of arrests made on March 8, 2015:

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Sexual Battery – On March 7th at 7:22PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Aztec Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused sexually assaulted the victim and, at one point, placed his hands around her neck. The victim was eventually able to free herself from the accused and leave the residence. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the arrest was accused.
Arrested on March 7th:
Andre SLAUGHTER, Jr., 23, of 12312 Aztec Pl in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation, sexual battery and assault & battery
Court date: May 18, 2015 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On March 7th at 10:47PM, officers responded to Potomac Plz located at 13628 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 39 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, strangled her. Witnesses approached both parties and contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the arrest was accused.

Paulino Leal GOMEZ, 32, of the 18200 block of Graham Ct in Triangle
Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery
Court date: pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
