Prince William middle schools to play Battle of the Brains on May 9
Four Prince William County middle schools offering the IB Middle School Years Programme (Beville, Fred Lynn, Godwin, Stonewall) will be facing off in the third annual Battle of the Brains, an SOL review designed in scholastic game show format.
The event will be held at Stonewall Middle School this Friday, May 9 beginning at 10 a.m., according to Irene Cromer, supervisor of school community relations for Prince William County Schools.
The competition will be streamed live at http://pwcstv.com allowing classrooms across the county as well as parents and individuals at home to watch.
Students from each grade level go head-to-head in the auditorium–answering questions in the categories of language arts, math, science and social studies.
Via web cam, students on site can get help from their fellow students back at their base schools on any questions that have them stumped.
