Prince William Hospital has Michael Jordan on its team

Michael Jordan may soon be seen promoting Prince William Hospital in local newspaper and television ads, according to a news release from the hospital.

It’s all due to the hospital’s affiliation with Novant Health. Bobcats Sports & Entertainment (BSE), that owns the Charlotte Bobcats, a National Basketball Association team, has a new collaboration between BSE Chairman Michael Jordan and Novant Health. The agreement allows Novant Health to use Jordan in advertising promotions—including print and television—that help share the organization’s story about the care that its doctors, nurses and other staff deliver.

Jordan was quoted as saying, “I have seen the level of care and commitment that Novant Health doctors and staff have shown our players and our entire organization,” said Jordan. “I am proud to have Novant Health as part of our team and to aid their efforts to improve the lives of the people of the communities they serve.”

Carl Armato, president and CEO of Novant Health, noted the group has worked with Jordan on previous community projects. He was quoted as saying,  “Expanding our relationship makes sense …”

Stephanie DeBoer, Prince William Hospital public relations specialist, did not know how soon Jordan would begin appearing in local ads.
