Arrests
• Malicious Wounding – On April 12, 2022 at 6:55AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 6400 block of Yates Ford Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the accused came to the residence earlier that morning around 12:00AM to use narcotics. During the encounter, an altercation ensued when the accused retrieved an axe and struck one victim, a 42-year-old woman, with the flat end of the axe twice in the lower body causing an injury to her leg before striking a second victim, a 45-year-old man, in the hand causing a laceration. The accused also broke items in the home before leaving. Police were not contacted after the altercation.
The accused then returned to the home several hours later where he used a chainsaw to cause damage to a fence surrounding the property. At one point, the accused used the axe and attempted to gain entry into the residence. In the process of attempting to enter the home, the accused broke several windows and two doors before leaving in a vehicle.
Neighbors contacted police to report the accused was armed with an axe and chasing another member of the home. Responding officers encountered the accused as he was leaving the property where he was detained without further incident. Both victims were treated for their injuries which were determined to be non-life threatening. All parties involved in the incident were known to one another. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Michael D’Angelo TIBBS Jr., was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of malicious wounding, 2 counts of destruction of property, 1 count of attempted burglary, and 1 count of possession of burglarious tools

• Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 12, 2022 at 10:28PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4800 block of Dane Ridge Cir in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 6:30PM on April 11 and 9:40PM on April 12, entry was attempted into the home through the front door that was found damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
