**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery | Burglary – On May 30th at 3:11AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1200 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The resident of the apartment, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was sleeping in her bedroom when she woke to the accused, a known acquaintance, inside her room. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim, a 25 year old man of Fort Washington MD, who was also present in the room. When the victim attempted to contact police, the accused took the victim’s cell phone and struck him with it before fleeing on foot. The victim sustained a serious, non-life threatening injury to his head and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The female resident of the apartment was bit injured. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.
Wanted:
Robert Kennedy BLACK-REED, 25, of the 5500 block of Columbia Pike in Arlington
Described as a black male, 6’0”, 210lbs with a medium build, light complexion, short black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for malicious wounding, robbery and burglary
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On May 30th at 12:15AM, officers responded to the 7300 block of Williamson Blvd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight. When officers arrived, a group of people was seen dispersing the area on foot. Witnesses to the fight reported that multiple gunshots were heard in the area. Officers checked the parking lot of the Comfort Inn Suites and located multiple shell casings. No injuries or property damage were reported.
Indecent Exposure – On May 31st at 1:26PM, officers responded to the area of Old Landing Way and Gunsmith Tr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 43 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking her dog in the area above when she observed an unknown man off the roadway standing near the tree line. As the victim walked by the man, he exposed himself towards her direction and made an obscene display. No physical contact was made. The man fled the area following the incident.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 25 & 30 years of age, 6’0”, 160lbs with a thin build, dark complexion, long black dreadlocks, brown eyes and a tattoo on his ankle
Last seen wearing a camouflage shirt, camouflage shorts and a white t-shirt wrapped around his head
Residential Burglary – On May 31st at 7:35AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Apollo Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00PM on May 30th and 7:30AM on May 31st. The investigation revealed there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry was made into an attached garage through an open door. A bicycle and other property were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On May 29th at 7:51AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Wilmington St in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00AM and 5:30AM. The investigation revealed there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry was made into the home through an unsecured rear door. A laptop and purse were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On May 31st at 9:07AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7000 block of Mongoose Trl in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 10:00PM on May 30th and 8:30AM on May 31st, entry was attempted into the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On May 30th at 11:21PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused placed his hands around the victim’s neck before striking her in the face. After the incident, the accused left the home. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. The accused was arrested the day without incident.

Cory David WELLER, 27, of the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery
Court date: pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On May 25th at 8:30PM, officers responded to the 2500 block of Grayton Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. Multiple callers reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area. The investigation revealed that the accused had fired a handgun into the air when he was approached by a neighbor’s dog which had gotten loose. The dog was not struck by any of the projectiles. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm in public
