Homicide Investigation – On September 12th at 1:50AM, officers responded to the area of Old Linton Hall Rd and Charis Ave in Gainesville (20155) for a shots fired call.
Officers arrived and located two adult male victims in a nearby parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to nearby hospitals where one victim, identified as a 23 year old man of Gainesville, died as a result of his injuries, according to a news release from Officer Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman.
The second victim, identified as a 22 year old man of Bristow, is suffering from life threatening injuries.
While investigating, officers were approached by a third victim, identified as a 25 year old man of Manassas, suffering from a minor graze wound to the hand.
The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival, possibly in a light colored SUV. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 703-792-6500.
